Naples: How to Get Discovered by the Media is back! 

It's time for everyone's favorite meeting when members can win great media prizes! Reporters and broadcast producers are always on the lookout for great stories about local businesses. How can you get them to pay attention to yours? This year attendees will have an unprecedented opportunity to ask this question directly to local experts representing media outlets including magazines, newspapers, television, radio and more! Because of the size of the panel and all the information that will be exchanged this meeting hours are extended. Last year we gave out over $25,000 worth of media prizes to members! Our Emcee is Sue Huff, owner of E. Sue Huff & Associates, Inc., a Marketing and Management Consulting firm was founded in 1996 after relocating to Naples. Her career spans over four decades.  Starting in the newspaper industry she later became a partner in a chain of print shops in Cincinnati; was a senior manager for the City of Cincinnati; and has always been involved in theatre, tv and radio.

Jeff Butera, Anchors the evening news on ABC7 in Fort Myers. He's served as the station's main evening anchor since 2012. Before coming to Southwest Florida, Jeff reported in Tampa, Phoenix, Jacksonville, Huntsville and Gainesville. He's won three Emmy Awards and two Regional Murrow Awards for news excellence. Jeff lives with his wife, Melissa, and daughter, Emerson, in Fort Myers.

 Mayela Rosales, Executive Vice President & CCO - Media Vista Group Mayela Rosales is the Executive Vice President & CCO of Media Visa Group Corporate Offices    Media Vista Group is a multi-platform Hispanic-owned media company.  Its broadcast holdings include Univision and UniMas in Ft. Myers-Naples as well as Azteca America Ft. Myers-Naples.  MVG also owns and operates Univision Minneapolis and Univision Kansas City.  Its holdings include the D’Latinos program, now in its 13th year of continuous local broadcast; D'Latinos Magazine, a monthly Spanish language lifestyle publication; and www.dlatinos.com, a Spanish interactive portal.

 Robbie Spencer - Managing Editor of Florida Weekly A Naples resident of more than 25 years, Robbie was the first executive editor of Naples Herald. He has worked for the Breeze Newspapers/Sanibel Islander, has freelanced for the Naples Daily News, The Banner, Citizen and Journal, as well as FGCU 360 alumni magazine, the Birmingham Business Journal and The New York Times. He recently completed his first book.

   Paul Lodato, General Manager CTN television , was hired in July 2005 as the youngest general manager of the Christian Television Network.   When Paul arrived in Southwest Florida, he brought with him a vision to produce and broadcast innovative and engaging content that provides viewers a message of hope while entertaining and educating the entire family.  Paul founded Southwest Florida Film and Television Academy in 2014. Update: Paul will not be able to attend this year but will be donating thirty free airings for thirty days at airtime value of $9000.00 per winner.

 Karen P. Moore - publisher of Southwest Florida Business Today Karen has over 30 years of experience in newspaper advertising. With a BS degree in advertising, she embarked on her award-winning advertising career at the Chicago Tribune. In 1993, she began her newspaper advertising sales management career in St. Louis, earning her MBA along the way. In 2007, She founded SWFL Business Today and has received local, state and national recognition for its news, advertising and marketing efforts.

 Kristyn Wellesley - SWFL Regional Breaking News Editor – USAT Network-Florida  Health, Business Editor – Naples Daily News Kristyn manages a team of breaking news, health and business reporters across Southwest Florida for the USAT Network-Florida, Naples Daily News, and Ft. Myers News-Press. She is a graduate of Ball State University and City University London.

 David Elliott - Dave hosts The Dave Elliott Show, weekday mornings on WGUF-FM.  He has been an orchestra conductor, TV and radio journalist, and theatrical director over his lifetime.  He owns Voxnow Studios, an audio and video production company in Naples and currently serves as Executive Vice President of the Naples Players Board. Next year,  Dave will celebrate his 50th year in broadcasting and the arts. 

 Rob Wardlaw is the Associate Publisher of Gulfshore Business magazine and the daily e-newsletters Gulfshore Business Daily and This Week in Real Estate. In his role, Rob leads the sales, marketing, and business side of the magazine and is a key advisor to the creative departments.    During his time at Gulfshore Business, the magazine has won numerous FloridaMagazine  Association awards for overall excellence—making it vital to the success of the business owners,  CEO’s, and executive professionals who read it.
