2021 Klondike Derby

Join us at Williams Scout Reservation as we race for the Klondike!

This is a cold weather campout for Scout Troops and Venture Crews.  There will be patrol competitions to demonstrate Scouting skills, a campfire to show off talent, and time for our Scouts to meet other Scouts.

The competions will take place as a 5 Scout sled race stopping at various stations around Williams Scout Reservation competing in events, trying to earn gold nuggets. The team with the highest nugget count will be crowned Klondike champs. Events range from first aid skills and orienteering to lashing and knot tying.  Each team will need to bring their own sled.  Scores will be determined based on team work, scout spirit, skill completion and time.  Trophies will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place finishers.

Troops are responsible for their own meals.  Due to winterization of camp, no water is available in the campsites.  Units attending must bring their own water.

Scouts should be prepared for winter camping and dress accordingly.
