Webinar: Eco-Driving to Reduce Emissions from Transit Vehicles

Eco-driving training is an important strategy available to transit agencies to reduce vehicle emissions and improve fuel economy. Join us for a presentation by Ann Xu and Randall Guensler from the Georgia Institute of Technology who will discuss the potential impacts of driver behavior and other fuel conservation strategies (e.g., new vehicle purchase, infrastructure capital improvements) on fuel consumption and emissions of transit vehicles. A highlight of the presentation will be the results of their recent assessment of second-by-second data collected from Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) buses and Georgia Regional Transportation Authority (GRTA) Express buses in concert with the Federal Transit Administration's Transit Fuel and Emissions Calculator.
