Building Financial Projections for Business Plans 9:00 AM - Noon 6/22 

This workshop is designed to walk students through the process of developing financial projections for their proposed business model.  Step-by-step instruction for preparing projected Income Statements, Balance Sheets and Cash Flow Statements for inclusion in their Business Plan will be covered.  

Topics to be discussed include:

  • Understanding Financial Termonology
  • How to project sales volumes for proposed products/services
  • Pricing and projected revenue generation strategies
  • Elements of product/service cost
  • Determining sales Breakeven point
  • Calculating Sources and Uses of Capital required
  • Estimating working capital needs during start-up
  • Avaliable on-line resources
  • Use of financial projections in on-going business

Instructor: Mark Oswalt

Mark Oswalt has been a counselor and volunteer with SCORE since October 2014.  He has taught seminars and workshops on commercial banking, small business and financial risk management for over 20 years. He is a graduate of Indiana University, Bloomington and has been a banking executive for over 35 years with several banks in the southeast U.S. 

 

You can pay $25 now or $30 at the door by credit or debit card. You may also register to participate in the workshop via a video conference link for $35 (Payment due at registration).

Walk-in attendees must check the workshop calendar after 6:00 Friday evening before the workshop to see if the workshop is cancelled.

Registered attendees will be notified of any changes or cancellations.

Feel free to bring your own beverage since there are none available within the building during the workshop.
