Unless Congress acts by December 31st some of the last year’s tax benefits will not be available when you file your taxes in April 2013. During this seminar we will discuss end of year-end tax planning tips and strategies for individuals and small business owners to use now that can help them keep more money in their pocket. We will also discuss the effects of some of the tax law changes expected in 2013.
Once the tax year closes, it will be too late to do anything to change your tax liability. There is still time to consider actions that may reduce your tax owed or increase your tax refund when you file in 2013.

About Cathy Mueller
Cathy currently serves as Director of Operations for Peoples Income Tax and Small Business Services divisions.. She is also a writer, editor and consultant to The Income Tax School, Inc., a sister corporation of Peoples Income Tax, Inc. Previously, Cathy served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Peoples Income Tax, Inc. Cathy has taught accounting and tax courses and seminars for The Income Tax School, Padgett Business Services, and J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College in Richmond, Virginia.
Cathy graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a degree in Business Administration/Accounting. She is currently a member of the National Society of Accountants (NSA). She is a past member of the of the National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP), the National Association of Enrolled Agents and the Virginia Society of Enrolled Agents where she served as chair of the education committee. She has earned designations of Enrolled Agent (EA) from the IRS, Chartered Tax Professional (CTP), from The Income Tax School, Accredited Tax Preparer (ATP) and Accredited Tax Advisor (ATA) from the Accrediting Council for Accounting and Taxation (ACAT). Cathy has also completed the advanced education in taxpayer representation and is a Fellow of the National Tax Practice Institute (NTPI). Cathy has done extensive work with small businesses in tax consulting, tax preparation, accounting and operations management.
