"Ritual Murder" is a one-act play dealing with the agonizing problem of black-on-black violence. Last summer, Joe Brown Jr. murdered his best friend, James Roberts, for no apparent reason. Why did this murder happen? No one knows. But the people who know Joe Brown Jr. best have ideas.
Chakula cha Jua Theater Company, in partnership with Ashé Cultural Arts Center, presents the company’s gripping, signature theater piece, Ritual Murder. It was written by Tom Dent and is directed by Chakula cha Jua. The company has performed this probing drama almost every year since it was established in 1985. With this production, the theater company celebrates 30 years!
