The day's education will begin with an introduction of our morning speaker, Jim Mooney of Freedom Storage Management. After lunch and networking, we will hear an industry and legislative update from SSA's own Tim Dietz.

9:15 AM - Fresh Off the Presses: A 2021 Manager's Playbook with Jim Mooney, Freedom Storage Management
2020 introduced us to a world of new challenges and changes. So what did we learn? And what new actions can we take forward as our new normal? In this session, we are going to focus on five key areas where managers can make a major difference to the operations of their facility. These points include managing online and in-house rentals, merchandise sales, collections, reviews and referrals, and how and why you should include contactless interactions with your tenants.

12:30 PM - Industry and Legislative Update with Tim Dietz, Self Storage Association
President and CEO Tim Dietz will provide us with an update on the current and upcoming legislative actions of the SSA's legal team and what we can look forward to working on in our states. There will also be discussion on the state of our industry.
