Jennifer Cottrell 

 

After 15 years in the video sales business,Jennifer Matthaei Cottrell started, You’ve Got It Made, specializing in promotional products, advertising specialties, and imprinted apparel.  In it’s 21st year of operation, You’ve Got It Made has provided branded products for such diverse companies as Central Atlantic Toyota Distributors, Catholic Charities, DARCARS Automotive Group, and TangleU Productions.

In addition to being a successful business woman, she is a registered yoga teacher (Yoga Alliance) who has over 40 years of involvement in the Yoga community. She holds an ERYT 200 hour Certificate from Yama Studio in Baltimore, MD, and is certified in Radiant Child Yoga levels one and two, Meditation Facilitation, and Ayurvedic Wellness Counseling with an additional certification in Ayurvedic Pulse Technique.  In June 2107 she achieved her 500 hour RYT certification and became a Certified a Yoga Therapist.

In October of 2013, Jennifer became a Certified Zentangle Teacher.  She offers this wonderfully meditative instruction through James Madison University’s Life Long Learning Institute, as well as, private parties and lessons. Jennifer is always seeking opportunities to enhance her teaching of holistic

Elaine Huffman founded TangleU Productions in 2013. TangleU Productions is a woman owned business in western Massachusetts. TangleU Productions provides in-person and virtual classes and retreats for artists at every point in their creative journey. Elaine Huffman and Jennifer Cottrell are your hosts for a great weekend.  From January 15 - 17, 2021 - shake off the winter blues while creating beautiful art! Winter trees and birds are the theme as we carve rubber stamps, watercolor, draw winter foliage, create fantasy birds, make hard bound books and a bound tag book full of your handcrafted inspiration! Elaine and Jennifer will carefully guide you through the projects so that the beginner through advanced artists can achive great results! 

You will create safely from home in our online studio on the Zoom platform. After you unpack your stuffed supply kit, just put on your comfy clothes and hang the "Artist at Work" sign on the door - the weekend is yours! Since this is "not our first (remote Zoom) rodeo" we have proven methods to feel connected during the online experience. And I'll let you in on a secret, the great thing about online retreats is that you have all of your carefully curated, hoarded, and collected supplies nearby! Gone is the day when you're at a retreat and wish you had brought just one more pen!




In This Workshop You Will:

The retreat includes 2 1/2 days of classes, Kick-off Thursday social, Stuffed Supply Kit (a $125 value!)*, the adoring attention of your teachers, private Facebook Group, Online Portal, PDF handouts, Videos of all classes, and bonus videos! 
 
Cost: $425 for US students, $300 international.

 

Retreat Schedule - All times Eastern US

  • Thursday January 14:  7 - 8 Kick off social and Zoom how-to.
  • Friday January 15: Zoom Studio opens at 6 for socializing. Class from 6:30 - 9
  • Saturday January 16: Zoom Studio opens at 10:30 for socializing. Classes from 11-5 with a 1 hour break from 1:30 - 2:30
  • Sunday January 17: Zoom Studio opens at 10:30 for socializing. Classes from 11 - 4:30 with a 1 hour break 1:30 - 2:30 

Supplies:

In addition to your stuffed supply kit* students need:

  • A workspace and access to the Zoom platform.
  • Basic supplies such as pencils, Micron pens, apron, scissors, 2 water cups, papertowels, ruler, scrap paper, sketch pad. 
  • The final supply list and optional supply items will be provided closer to the event.

.* Supply kits are available for domestic US students only. International and Canadian students will attend at a reduced rate and receive a detailed supply list.
