FREE Workshop:
Apps to Support Students with Autism
in the Home, School, and Community

Objectives:
Participants will examine iPod and iPad applications that support individuals with autism in home, school, and community environments.  Specific topics include Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), Social Skills, Video Modeling, Prompting, and Activity Schedules.

About the presenter:
Randall Palmer, a special educator and computer expert with nearly two decades of experience teaches computer skills at TCI, where he also provides staff development training and coaching. Working with proven methodology for students with autism spectrum disorder, Palmer has taught teens and young adults with autism to develop multi-media social stories, using Garage Band software to digitize pictures and incorporate voice over techniques.  He is a requested speaker and lecturer on topics related to assistive technology, computer software to help promote independence, and Internet safety issues.

Parents of TCI students only:
Dinner and childcare is availble for TCI families only.  Dinner will be served between 6:30 and 7:00 PM.  Please list the names and ages of children attending on the registration page.
