Registration begins at 8:15 a.m. Breakfast and a boxed lunch will be provided. Cost to participate in this event is $35 per individual. All attendees will receive a practice management manual.

Program sessions include:

  • Right Size to Reach Goals - presented by Kathleen McCarry, Senior Health Care Consultant, Anders CPAs + Advisors
Right-sizing can be scary, because it's generally assumed to equal cost-cutting, when in fact, cutting costs is not always the solution to improve performance. In this presentation, attendees will learn about how to develop attainable goals and determine the appropriate use of resources to reach them.
  • Interviewing to Build Your 'A' Team - presented by Chastity Werner, CMPE, RHIT, NCP, Senior Health Care Consultant, Anders CPAs + Advisors
Building an 'A' team can be very involved and challenging for practices today. Where do you find the right candidate for your practice and once you find them, how do you take the appropriate steps to ensure you are giving them a fair start? Hiring the wrong candidate can cost the practice time and money. It may mean the difference between damaging your practice's reputation or positively affecting your future reimbursement with new payment models focusing on quality and value.
  • Measuring Your Success in Financial Statements and Key Metrics - presented by Brian Rapp, Manager, Tax Services, Anders CPAs + Advisors
Your practice may be doing everything right - or is it? The only way to know for sure is to measure the results, benchmark them against your goals and the industry, and take appropriate action to stay on track.
  • Transparency and Front End Collection Methods to Improve Your Practice's Financial Viability - presented by Chastity Werner, CMPE, RHIT, NCP, Senior Health Care Consultant, Anders CPAs + Advisors
If the grocery stores, coffee shops, and gas stations expect payment at the time of service, why shouldn't you? For decades, we have trained our patients that they do not have to pay at the time of service. In today's market, practices no longer have a choice. During this session, we will not only discuss the methods for becoming a transparent practice, we will also review challenges most practices face with it and front end collections.
