Description:
Creating a business plan is critical to the success of your small business. Companies who complete business plans are twice as likely to successfully grow their business, gain investment capital or secure a loan.

Although we know that a business plan will significantly help your business, finding the time to finish, update or even start a business plan can be a challenge. Understanding that time can be very limited for small business owners, SCORE Hampton Roads is launching the Business Plan Writing Workshop program.

The Business Plan Writing Workshop program allows for current, new, and even potential business owners to have the opportunity to work with a SCORE mentor in-person in a three-phase approach to writing a business plan. Phase 1 is a workshop with presentation on best practices and an initial question and answer session. Homework from Phase 1 is to get your draft business plan written and return for Phase 2. Phase 2 is a Question and Answer session enabling attendees to discuss the challenges experienced in writing the draft business plan. Phase 3 is session with one or more SCORE mentors to review each individual business plan.
