STRENGTHENING TEAM CULTURE
A CAREGIVER FRIENDLY WORKPLACE STANDARD
Join us in honour of Healthy Workplace Month for a discussion on using the CSA Group Carer-inclusive standard to strengthen employee caregiver practices in the workplace.
Objectives:
In this one hour event, participants will be introduced to the campaign to increase awareness and inspire action to support employee caregivers. The session will address:
- why supporting caregivers at work makes good business sense
- the experience of a multinational company, Wood Canada Limited, in implementing the Standard
- the research program on employee caregivers at McMaster University
Presenters:
Erica Craig is the People & Organization (HR) Coordinator for the Resilient Environments (RE) Canadian Business at Wood Canada Limited where she is responsible for new hire onboarding, benefits administration, and responding to employee HR inquiries from across Canada.
Katryna Fraser is the People & Organization (HR) Manager for the Resilient Environments Canadian Business at Wood Canada Limited, an engineering consulting firm with 40,000+ employees worldwide, and 1800 employees in the Canada RE division. Katryna is passionate about supporting staff, coaching leaders, and promoting continuous improvement through HR initiatives.
Dr. Allison Williams is a social geographer, specializing in health research addressing caregiver-employees, quality of life, critical policy/program evaluation, and therapeutic landscapes. She is an Associate Professor at McMaster University and holds the CIHR Research Chair in Gender, Work and Health and is leading a research program examining caregiver-employees.
