Imaging & Clinical Decision Making for the Practicing Chiropractor
Cincinnati, OH

Overview
The purpose of this program is to prepare chiropractors to utilize clinical information to help determine the necessity of imaging, identify the appropriate management based on imaging findings, and identify clinical significance of various imaging findings and diagnoses. Emphasis will be placed on: interpretation of imaging findings and how to correlate this information with clinical data, decision making about what additional studies may be needed, and who to co-manage with if necessary. 

Objectives
By the end of the program, the attendee will be able to:

  • determine whether imaging for various clinical presentations is necessary or unnecessary 
  • determine what the appropriate study to order is for various clinical presentations and suspicions 
  • understand what the appropriate follow-up is for various conditions 
  • understand whether a patient should be referred, co-managed, or if there is no contraindication for conservative management.
  • understand diagnostic criteria for various arthritides
