2012 FSFOA Membership

Greetings, Members and Colleagues!

It’s time for our annual FSFOA Membership Drive – 2012.  The Florida School Finance Officers Association exists to create and promote public interest in the cause of public education; to help secure uniform accounting and reporting; to improve business management practices; and to cooperate with other organizations promoting public education. 

Membership in our organization has grown annually and our sincere wish would be to continue this trend and to have all districts well represented within our family.  The annual membership fee is $25 and is paid once per calendar year.  Membership is open to persons engaged in any of the many areas of business management of the public school system. 

 Membership is not without its rewards.  FSFOA paid members receive a discounted rate to attend our two annual conferences.  Members also receive access to a member’s only section of the FSFOA website, which will include conference presentations, sample RFP’s, policies and procedures, etc.  We are currently in the process of updating our website to offer these new and exciting sections. 

This year we are again planning two conferences with meaningful and timely topics, diversified speakers, interesting locations, and the opportunity for peer interaction.  The summer conference will be June 19-22, 2012 at the Crowne Plaza Melbourne Oceanfront in Melbourne, Florida.  The fall conference will be November 6-9, 2012, and will have our group returning to the Reunion Resort, Orlando, Florida.  At the summer conference, there will be eight hours of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) on Tuesday, beginning at 8:30 a.m., including Ethics and A&A.  For the remainder of the week we will have other very important and informative sessions, including the Florida Department of Education to provide a legislative review and update. 

I encourage you to renew your current membership or become a first-time member of the Florida School Finance Officers Association.  Please click the link above to register online and become a member of the FSFOA.   Please share this information with the other finance employees in your District.  As an association, in order to continue to be successful in our field, we need new ideas, new solutions to old problems, and new members to carry on the traditions and leadership of the FSFOA.
