2015 Oblate/Monk Christmas Party at Saint Leo Abbey, Town of Saint Leo, Florida 

The oblate/monk Christmas party is the best time to meet and get to know the wonderful men who are monks of Saint Leo Abbey. Each one is different and yet all share a love for the ancient Benedictine way.  

"Oblate" comes from a word meaning offering to God. Oblates seek God, live simply, avoid worldly distractions, and strive for the ancient Benedictine balance of prayer, work, reading, and listening to God. Oblates follow the monastic Rule of Saint Benedict as their state in life allows.
