Alphapointe Virtual Technology Camp 2020

Alphapointe’s Technology Camp is a week-long day camp experience for middle and high school students with vision impairments. Campers will train with Jaws or ZoomText software depending on the camper’s visual needs. Campers will also learn to utilize various technologies that impact academic development, advance their internet navigation skills, develop social networking knowledge, and establish internet safety and security awareness.

As you may have heard, Alphapointe Technology Camp will be held virtually this year. We are excited to still be able to offer your camper an experience through which they can learn and grow. Technology Camp will take place the week of June 29th-July 3rd from 10am-3pm. If your camper needs a laptop, it will be possible for us to ship one to your house (this will be an option in the registration). However, if your camper has a laptop with accessible software and a web camera, they are more than welcome to use it to participate.

If your camper would like a laptop shipped to them, the fee for Technology Camp will be $175, but if they would like to use a laptop that you already have and will not be needing a laptop shipped to them, the fee for Technology Camp will be $75. After you register you will be contacted about payment, applying for finical aid scholarship, or applying for the Missouri Council for the Blind scholarship.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out. Click on the link below to register your youth for Technology Camp today. We only have a capacity to accept 40 campers at this time.

No Teacher for the Visually Impaired nomination form will be neeed for this year's Technology Camp.
