Using Agile Methods with CMMIŽ 2 day seminar in Daytona Beach

Come for two days to learn the essentials of using Agile Methods with CMMI to improve performance. Margaret Kulpa and Kent Johnson, internationally known instructors, provide guidance and show the practical application of using the most popular Agile Methods including Scrum, Kanban, Lean, and XP with CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration).

Course Description

The primary goal of this interactive 2 day seminar is to help teams get the most out of using Agile Methods together with CMMI.  Agile Methods and CMMI are often perceived to be at odds with each other.  However, some organizations have benefited from combining these approaches and have demonstrated a synergy from using Agile Methods with CMMI.  Not all organizations have been successful with either CMMI or Agile Methods.

We provide guidance and show the practical application of using the most popular Agile Methods including Scrum, Kanban, eXtreme Programming, and Lean Software Development.  Our approach supports disciplined Agile with Process Optimization to provide effective and efficient processes. This seminar is based on our work with over 20 organizations combining Agile and CMMI.

In this seminar, we present “Agile attributes” and what they bring to a CMMI Implementation, “CMMI attributes” and what they bring to Agile Methods, the implications of Agile Methods on SCAMPI Appraisals, and performing Scrum Capability Assessments.  Real-world experiences from CMMI Maturity Level 2 through 5 organizations are shared in the form of success stories, failures, and root causes.

Interactive exercises are used to reinforce the concepts presented and to relate the concepts to your business objectives.

Students that have successfully completed this course have received 14 PDUs (professional development units) approved by PMI (Project Management Institute).
