Please join the Washington Network Group when we convene our next WNG Career Development Roundtable with Ken Schoppmann, Association Executive and Organizational Management Professional, and Bill Stokes, WNG Founder and Chairman.

Ken and Bill will discuss networking best practices, and moderate a brainstorming session with participants on successful networking strategies and tactics. Attendees will have an opportunity to pose questions and share insights. Participants will leave this session with practical advice for achieving better results from their overall networking efforts.

Ken Schoppmann
Association Executive
and Organizational Management Professional

Ken Schoppmann has more than 25 years of experience with nonprofit organizations, including global trade and professional associations and a national information center. Ken serves on the Board of 40plus of Greater Washington, a nonprofit group that helps experienced professionals in career transition. He is a Volunteer Team Leader with the Taproot Foundation, which provides pro bono consulting support to nonprofits. Additionally, he has served on numerous volunteer committees to advance the association profession through the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE). Ken is a Certified Association Executive and a holds an Institute of Organizational Management credential from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Throughout his career, Ken has led organizations through various stages of development, expanding and enhancing internal capacity and improving value to stakeholders. He has worked in all areas of association management, including finance, administration, event management, membership, board development, and strategic planning. You can find Ken on LinkedIn.


Bill Stokes
Chairman and Founder
Washington Network Group

Bill Stokes is Founder and Chairman of the Washington Network Group (WNG), a Washington DC-based organization of senior-level executives from the private, public and independent sectors. Bill is a trained leadership development coach and has worked with a number of executive search and recruiting firms in the greater Washington, D.C. region. He has served on numerous boards, including the Science and Technology Policy Center for Development, the George C. Marshall International Center and the World Affairs Council of Washington, DC. Additionally, he is a World Responsible Leader with the BMW Foundation. Bill pursued graduate studies at the Elliott School of International Affairs at The George Washington University and undergraduate studies at the College of William & Mary in Virginia.
