Join OMG, DEP and Montgomery Parks in recognizing the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr by participating in our MLK Plogging Challenge! Plogging means picking up litter while jogging or walking. This is an individual volunteer opportunity allowing safe clean ups during the ongoing pandemic. Register and select where to pick up your kit. Instructions will be email once you register:
To participate:
1. Register here
2. Download the Litterati app
3. Use Join Code MLK22 and you will receive instructions via email
4. Gather supplies or pick up a Plogging-at-Parks kit with suggestions for Park locations
5. Go plogging and submit your litter/trash results on Litterati!

Park Hours: sunrise-sunset
Plogging-at-Parks Kit includes: gloves & trash bags
SSL (Student Service Learning) hours are available through Montgomery Parks or One Montgomery Green. Children under 14 years old must plog with a parent/guardian. This opportunity is open to Adult, Family, Senior (55+), Youth
Covid Guidelines:
- Volunteers must be fully vaccinated
- Anyone feeling sick or in recent contact with someone who has tested positive for Covid-19, may not volunteer at the event(s) assigned.
