Two Trainings Offered on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) title II
Monday, June 29th
1:00 pm - 4: 00 pm
For Advocates (Case Managers, Social Workers, Service Providers)
This training will provide a broad overview of Title II that includes the following:
• Basic Principles
• Reasonable Modification of Policies and Procedures
• Service Animals
• Wheelchairs and Other Power-Driven Mobility Devices
• Communicating with People Who Have Disabilities, and
• Grievance process.
Tuesday, June 30th
9:00 am – 4:00 pm
For State & Local Government Employees (Including subcontractors and developers)
This day-long training includes the components found in the advocate training:
• Basic Principles
• Reasonable Modification of Policies and Procedures
• Service Animals
• Wheelchairs and Other Power-Driven Mobility Devices
• Communicating with People Who Have Disabilities, and
• Grievance process.
Also included in this session is additional information on making buildings and other environments accessible. This information also includes access to services, alterations and new construction standards.
Designed for all that are involved or work with the public, consumers, and clients.
