Spring 2018 Building Mentoring Skills Program 

The Building Mentoring Skills for an Academic Career Certificate Program will be held at Cornell on five spring Tuesdays from 12:00-2:00 pm. Sponsored by Cornell University's CIRTL program, it is based on a highly regarded national curriculum.

Prepare to be a great supervisor to your summer research students and/or to effectively mentor graduate, undergraduate, and postdoctoral students as a future professor. Join a motivated cohort of graduate students and postdocs in Spring 2018, receive a certificate for attending and participating in at least 4 of 5 sessions (dates: 1/30, 2/13, 2/27, 3/13, 3/27).

All sessions will be in person and practical in nature and will feature short pre-readings or videos, discussion with faculty/staff panelists, and self-assessments to identify your strengths and desired areas for improvement. The location for the sessions will be sent upon acceptance into the program.
