This workshop organized by PNWS-AWWA’s Water Quality and Treatment Committees with provide a comprehensive introduction to drinking water taste and odor (T&O) issues and management. The morning will include presentations by local and national experts on T&O evaluation methods such as Flavor Profile Analysis (FPA), treatment of groundwater and surface water supplies for a range of T&O issues, and related case studies from local utilities. The afternoon will provide attendees with hands-on sensory training exercises and a tour of SPU’s Water Quality Laboratory with a FPA panel demonstration.
0.5 CEUs have been approved for the workshop by both OR and WA.
Early Bird registration fee is $75 for members and $100 for non-members. This discounted cost is available through September 30, and will increase by $25 beginning October 1. Workshop cost includes snacks, beverages, and lunch
