Point(less) Pitches and Presentations

If you’ve ever been a victim of “Death by PowerPoint” or worse, the perpetrator of such a crime, then you know its destructive impact! However, used effectively and creatively, PowerPoint can be a very powerful communication tool.  We’re living in a time when soundbites, elevator pitches, and 18-minute presentations are de rigueur.  Get on board or get left!  So, knowing how to communicate concisely, clearly, and compellingly can make a huge difference in your success.

This workshop will help improve and enhance your presentation skills.  Regardless of your audience – venture capitalists, bankers, clients, vendors, stakeholders – your ability to communicate your ideas, products, or services is extremely important.

In this workshop you can expect the following:

-        Presentation tips for communicating clearly, concisely, and compellingly

-        How to use Power Point for more effective and efficient presentations

-        Information about other presentation tools and methods

-        How to create a business pitch

-        Pitch practice and evaluation!  Completion of pre-workshop questionnaire required.

It will be interactive.  It is meant to be educational, engaging, and enlightening in a judgment-free zone!

Presented by Shelia Cook

Shelia Cook is an entrepreneur and SCORE mentor.  In her past lives she’s been an auditor, trainer, warehouse supervisor, Naval officer, waitress, cashier, tutor, accountant, board member and more!  Though diverse, each role required exceptional communication skills.  For over 30 years, Shelia has practiced, sharpened, and shared her public speaking and presentation skills in numerous settings – professionally and personally.
