• Mindset and Approach - Understand how one’s business plan assists with creating a focused and powerful social media plan. Learn to maximize social media efforts and minimize wasted time. (1.5 hour)

• Content - How to create social content that will boost sharing and engagement that will improve your indexing in search engines. (45 mins)

• Visual Appeal - How to create attractive, shareable images using super easy and free software. (45 mins)

• Tips and Tricks - Easily learn the principles of using any social media to market your business. (1 hour)

This bootcamp is aimed to educate and empower small business owners in four hours. It is about taking practical steps for positive outcomes for business growth. Specifically, why businesses need to be social and how to do so with purpose and intent that increases brand awareness and sales. This course will be interactive. Participants are encouraged to bring paper, pens and laptop to take notes.

This bootcamp is lead by Catherine Peña, 5-year Certified SCORE Mentor. She has designed this bootcamp for new and existing small business owners who are looking to better understand how to utilize social media effectively. Ms. Peña brings 20 years of online experience having worked on websites for USA Weightlifting, 2002 Salt Lake Olympic Games and Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. Catherine has also worked with several marketing agencies where she focused on branding, websites and social media. She has a BS from Texas A&M University and an MBA from University of Phoenix.
