Attendees will learn the basics about the IRS Code 1031 (colloquially referred to as a 1031 Exchange) and how it functions. The course addresses how the 1031 Exchange allows a taxpayer to swap one investment property for another. 

Section 1031 of the IRC code has many provisions that must be followed to execute a successful exchange. We will help you with a basic understanding of the requirements and how to successfully execute a 1031 exchange.

NOTE:  Qualified attendees will earn 2 hours of continuing education (CE) credit from the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC). As part of the renewal process, these courses will count towards TREC’s requirement to help you deliver competent and quality real estate services.
