Resource Summit

If you own or are thinking of starting a small or micro business, you know how difficult it is to get information about all the organizations that can help you make your business a success. To make this process easier for you, The West Virginia Small and Micro Business Alliance for Economic Inclusion has partnered with Unlimited Future, Inc. to hold a Small Business Resource Summit. This is a FREE EVENT and NO REGISTRATION is required!

The Summit will be a “one-stop shopping” opportunity that brings together local, State and Federal small and micro business service providers, including providers of loans, grants, and technical and educational services. This will be your opportunity to learn about the many resources available to help you start and operate a successful small business.

There will be four break-out sessions, also at no cost. Seating is first-come, first-serve.

9:00 am to 9:40 am: Small Business Financing for Existing and Start-up Businesses

9:45 am to 10:15 am: Getting Your Message Out: Social Media Marketing Strategies

10:20 am to 11:00 am: Are You Controlling Your Business or is Your Business Controlling You

11:05 am to 11:45 pm: Understanding Cash Flow

Plan to stay for the Entrepreneurs’ Caf�

Immediately following the Small Business Resource Summit, join us for the Entrepreneurs’ Caf� from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Up to eight businesses have 10 minutes each to pitch their business to the crowd. Everyone gets to vote on their favorite business presentation. Come prepared – you could be one of the businesses chosen to present! The entrepreneur with the most votes wins! The winner receives a cash prize plus business services donated by local businesses. The price for admission is $15 per person, all of which goes towards the prize. Refreshments will be served. Minimum cash prize to the winner is $300.
