Please join your ASHE colleagues on Tuesday, September 20, 2016. This month's meeting is a surface mine tour of the Texas Quarry.

The program for the event includes:

2:30pm: Meet at Wallace Montgomery Parking Garage
A shuttle bus will leave promptly at 2:45 pm to take all attendees to/from the Texas Quarry to begin the site tour at 3pm. Please park on the on the top level of the parking garage north of the Wallace Montgomery office.

3:00pm – 4:30pm: Surface Mine Tour of the Bluegrass "Texas Quarry" Pit and Plants.
Tour will include a presentation (history, production numbers, issues). We will be driven around the site and see some pieces of large mobile equipment staged at various locations. 

4:45 – 6:30 pm: Attendees are invited to Happy Hour at Wit's End Saloon

Please bring the following safety equipment:

Hard hat, safety glasses, long pants and sleeved (long or short sleeve) shirt, and high-visibility vest. Solid, closed toe shoes are mandatory.  Steel toe not required.  Sunglasses and clothes that can get dirty are suggested.
