Fred has more than 30 years experience in Emergency Services as he has previously served as a Municipal and County Coordinator of Emergency Management, A Fire Chief and a Deputy Director of the Sheriff’s Department within County of Essex and The Township of Nutley in New Jersey. He also served in the New Jersey General Assembly as the Deputy Speaker & Chairman of the Homeland Security and Preparedness Committee. During that time Fred drafted legislation establishing statewide standards for Hazardous Material Teams, created the Fire Service Deployment Act to resolve issues that rose following the attacks on 9-1-1 and most recently had legislation passed on interoperability in New Jersey.
