Pre-Trial and Early Case Coordination: Multidistrict Litigation vs. Coordinated and Consolidated Class and Mass Actions

Thursday, April 28, 2022
12:00-1:00 p.m.

Please join us Thursday, April 28 from 12:00-1:00 CT pm for a Zoom webinar featuring Judge Donovan Frank and leading MDL, class action, and mass action practitioners as they discuss the considerations that lead to some cases being litigated as MDLs and others as class or mass actions. Our program will discuss early case coordination strategies and the benefits and drawbacks of various procedures, including the recent trend of class action and mass action cases being filed in the same jurisdiction without triggering the MDL process.

Dan Gustafson, partner at Gustafson Gluek, will moderate a panel featuring Judge Frank. Judge Frank will be joined by experienced members of the MDL, class action, and mass action bar: Holley Horrell, attorney at Greene Espel P.L.L.P., Christine Kain, partner at Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP, and Stacey Slaughter, partner at Robins Kaplan LLP. Attendees will have the opportunity to submit questions to the panel, and 1.0 general CLE credit will be sought.

The deadline to register is April 27, 2022.
