The Art of of Project Management 

How to ensure you have the right people, in the right place, at the right time doing the right things.

This course will cover types of project, and types of project management.

It will help you clarify the scope of your project and ensure that you can effectively communicate that to your team and beyond. Keeping your eye on the prize is essential to ensure success.

We will look at the three d’s of project planning: Dependencies, deliverables and duration.

Visibility is key to keeping a project on track, so we will cover reporting and what is often termed project governance, and how you make sure that that does not become a task itself, and that we ensure that there are enough milestones / check points in your project plan to act as achievements and early warnings.

Finally, how will you know your project has been a success? What will be your key indicator that you have done the right thing and that that project is, indeed, live?

This course can be as practical or theoretical as you need. If you have a project in mind, feel free to use this as your subject matter for the day. We will be completing simple project charter templates and reports, so feel free to get a head start on your project or to provide rigour to one in flow.
