LYRA 2022
The Sodus Bay Yacht Club is proud to be hosting LYRA 2022 on Great Sodus Bay,
July 25 - July 31st, 2022. This will be the 12th time that SBYC has hosted LYRA since 1938.
We are excited to be welcoming Regatta participants and LYRA Officials to our club for this year’s event. We have planned an exciting week of racing and entertainment.
The week begins Monday, July25th with a Centennial West feeder race from ABYC to Rochester. Next, on Tuesday, is the Centennial East feeder race from KYC to Sodus Bay. Also on Tuesday are the Founder's West feeder race from GYC to Sodus Bay, and the Founder's East feeder race from OYC to Sodus Bay. Then the long and short Freeman races start on Wednesday. We wrap the week up with course racing Friday through Sunday.
From the opening ceremony to the closing ceremony, come share in the camaraderie among racers from around the lake. Enjoy live entertainment, Happy Hours, renew friendships, make new ones, and create memorable moments all right here on the Great Sodus Bay, often referred to as the Crown Jewel of Lake Ontario.
Make it a point to get to Sodus Point and enjoy racing, swimming, relaxing or visiting local sites such as the Sodus Bay Lighthouse Museum, Chimney Bluffs State Park, and historic Pultneyville. Take some time to tour the Lake Ontario Wine Trail or the Finger Lakes Wine Trail. We are about 40 minutes from Rochester, which offers the Memorial Art Gallery, George Eastman House, Strong Museum of Play, and many more sites to see.

- Early registration will close on Monday July 18 at noon for racing events. Late registration will open Tuesday July 19th at noon for racing events. All racing registration will be on-line only.
- Online orders for food will be closed on Monday July 25 at noon. Food may be ordered on-site at regular regatta prices.
