Goodwill SWFL's Pathways to Opportunity is an amazing program that empowers adults with intellectual disabilities to become more independent, outgoing, and confident.

Together with our participants, we have fun through activities like glee club and yoga. We learn together in life skills and self-advocacy classes. And we become more active members of our community, through visits to libraries, museums, and local businesses and charities.

And now, there's a super-easy (and fun!) way to make a small contribution to this hard-working group. Our friends at Cape Coral Brewing Company are celebrating their One-Year Anniversary Bash-- and a portion of the proceeds will go to the Pathways to Opportunity program! 0.0 Run

How can you help? By signing up for their 0.0 Run-- a charitable race unlike any other! It's all the fun of a charity 5K, but without the sweat or shin-splints!

We'll all run 0.0 miles-- and raise money to give our Pathways to Opportunity participants even more opportunities to achieve independence!

The 0.0 Run will be Saturday, September 17 at the Cape Coral Brewing Company (839 Miramar Street, Cape Coral). Check-in starts at 3:30, with stretching time at 4:45. The "race" starts at 5:00, and we rehydrate at the One Year Anniversary Bash starting at 5:01!

For just $20, you'll receive race packet that includes a race t-shirt, raffle prize ticket, a pint of craft beer, and all the warm and fuzzy feelings you can handle!

And if you're feeling generous, you can contribute even more-- your kindness will directly support the Pathways to Opportunity program through the Southwest Florida Goodwill Foundation!
