A Kentucky perspective - Trump, Tariffs and Trade 

Darren Srebnick_ Chief Trade Officer_ World Trade Center Kentucky

FEI Louisville's April meeting features Darren Srebnick, Chief Trade Officer (CTO) for World Trade Center Kentucky. As the manager of the Center’s trade advisory services, he provides timely and relevant international trade consulting to a wide variety of business clients. In addition, Darren manages all trade missions and educational programs provided by the Center. 

Previously, Darren was the International Trade Compliance Manager for ISCO Industries, Inc. where he was responsible for managing ISCO’s international trade compliance program and developing procedures for the efficient and cost-effective movement of products and equipment around the world.

During his tenure with ISCO, he managed the establishment of ISCO Industries, Inc. – Abu Dhabi,  where he managed the personnel and equipment logistics for a major construction project.

Darren was the Sr. International Trade Specialist with the World Trade Center Kentucky where he consulted on best practices for import/export operations, conducted regulatory impact studies and organized educational seminars for the Kentucky business community. The highlight of his educational initiatives is the development of the Global Commerce and Strategy module for the University of Kentucky’s MBA program.

Darren also worked for the Nissan North America Trade Compliance Department in Nashville as a Customs and Trade Analyst. 

He is a licensed US Customs broker under U.S. Homeland Security and a Certified International Credit Professional (CICP). 

Darren majored in Japanese studies with a concentration in Japanese language at Connecticut College in New London, Connecticut. He studied abroad for one year at Doshisha University in Kyoto, Japan and upon graduation completed a 3-year contract as a translator for the Japanese government in Hiroshima, Japan.
