GTEC A/B UST Operator Training and New Employee Orientation Course 17 Mar 2020 

This is the In-Class Version of the A/B Underground Storage Tank Operator Training. It is given on the third Tuesday of every month at the Paulding County Chamber of Commerce Building. We have added a course that is a new employee orientation course. Student may take the A/B Certification Course or the new employee Orientation Course or both.

This inclass course is given at the Paulding County Chamber of Commerce facility at 455 Jimmy Campbell Pkwy, Dallas, GA 30132.

Petroleum Equipment Contractors and Consultants

Members of the Georgia Tank & Environmental Contractors Association (GTEC)

Petroleum Product Storage and Distribution Facility Employees  (Companies who use petroleum products in their day to day operation and those who sell Petroleum Products )

Members of the Georgia Association of Convenience Stores (GACS)

          Members of the Georgia Oilmen’s Association (GOA)

Private Industry Commercial Fleets

Public Transportation Utilities

Governmental Agencies Who Regulate All of the Above

Military Organization Fleets

This Course is In Two Parts: 

Part 1:  How does a Fueling Facility Work?

GTEC is already an approved provider of the UST A/B Operator Certification Course.  .   The UST Certification course is offered in the AM.  This inclass course is an ideal orientation on the technical components of a petroleum product fueling facility.  Part 1 covers the following subjects:

  •  Spill and overfill prevention
  • Release detection
  • Corrosion protection
  • Emergency response
  • Product and equipment compatibility and demonstration
  • Financial responsibility
  • Notification and storage tank registration
  • Temporary and permanent closure
  • Related reporting, recordkeeping, testing, and inspections
  • Environmental and regulatory consequences of releases
  • Training requirements for Class B and Class C operators

Course Options and Costs:

Option 1:  Take the Entire Course Plus Operator Certification (Exam & Certificate):  $250.00.   Includes both Part 1 and Part 2 and also includes the Operator Certification Exam with Certificate

The Exam will be given at the end of Part 1.  Requires 30 minutes – 1 ½ hours.

Option 2:  Take Part 1 and Part 2 but do not take the Operator Certification Exam:  $200.00.

Option 3:  Take Part 1 Only with the Operator Certification Exam with Certificate:  $150.00.  Exam will be given immediately after the Part 1 Course.

Option 4:  Take Part 2 Only (for the person already familiar with technical):  $150.00.
