The A&WMA Lake Michigan States Section and the Union League Club Environmental Committee are pleased to announce the reschedule date for this Environmental Luncheon.  You are invited to join us to hear Cathy Stepp speak at the March 14, 2018 Environmental Luncheon.  Ms. Stepp will speak on EPA’s priorities for 2019, their work in the current administration, and work with state agencies in the region and their goals to create certainty for the regulated community.

Cathy Stepp serves as the Regional Administrator for EPA Region 5. Her responsibilities include overseeing environmental protection efforts in the Great Lakes states of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio and Wisconsin, as well as 35 federally recognized tribal governments. One of her roles is manager of EPA Great Lakes National Program, in which she leads restoration and protection of the largest freshwater system in the world. Before joining Region 5, she was principal deputy regional administrator for EPA Region 7.

Ms. Stepp served as the secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources from 2011 to 2017. As state cabinet secretary, she led the third largest state agency with about 4,000 employees and was responsible for state enforcement and protection of wildlife, fisheries, state parks, trails, forests and environmental permitting.

Ms. Stepp also served as a Wisconsin state senator from 2003 to 2007, where she represented nearly 160,000 constituents and authored and advanced legislation on regulatory reform, job creation and other issues. Prior to entering public service, Ms. Stepp owned a small business, a home-building company.

COST:  The cost to attend for non-Union League Club members is $45 per person which includes lunch and any presentation handouts.  Students are invited to join us at a special price of $20 per person.

RSVP:  Due to limited seating and our arrangement with the Union League Club, advance registration is required to guarantee availability. Reservations and payment can be made by clicking the reservation button below.  Reservations may be cancelled for a full refund only if we are notified 48 hours in advance of the event. Union League Club members should contact ULC to make their reservations.

CREDIT:  Attendees are eligible to receive Continuing Legal Education (CLE) or Professional Development Hours (PDH) credit.  There is a $5 fee for the CLE certificate.

A limited number of scholarships are available for anyone who requires CLE credit to maintain professional registration such as attorneys, professional engineers and professional geologists and who could not otherwise afford to attend this conference.
