Part 1: Social Media Marketing for Business

9:00am - 10:00am

There is no fee to attend Part -1 In this introductory session, we will review best practices, stratgies, real world examples and offer ideas to show you how Social Media Marketing is a cost effective marketing tool. We will discuss:

  • What social media marketing really is and why use it
  • Introduction to social media channels and how to evaluate what’s right for your business or organization
  • How small businesses are using these low-cost tools to gain visibility, develop relationships and drive sales and response
  • How to create valuable content for your social media marketing campaigns and time management
  • How to balance social media marketing with email marketing and your other marketing efforts.

Part 2: Facebook and Google Ads 

10:15am - 2:00pm Cost to attend Hands-on Workshop: $139 (included lunch)

Facebook Ads: Facebook offers an affordable ad model that helps you reach the right audience for your business. We will discuss best practices for Facebook Ads, how to budget and how to set them up. We'll look at real world examples and success stories.

Google Ads:  Stu Atkins will discuss why Google Adwords is one of the most effective tools to drive targeted, relevant traffic and customers to your website and business. 

Bring your laptop to this workshop. There will be time for hands-on activity.

We will supply:

  • wireless internet connection
  • expert instructors
  • step-by-step curriculum

You need to supply: 

  • IMPORTANT: you will need to have a  Facebook account set up prior to the workshop. If you do not have a Facebook account, you can sign up at www.facebook.com. Please bring your user name and password to access your Facebook account. 
  • A fully charged working laptop with WiFi capability
  • Power cords for your laptop
  • Paper and pen for taking notes

If you are participating in Part 2, please bring a working LAPTOP with wireless Internet connection and have a current/up to date browser and OS. You must be familiar with your laptop and know how to access the Internet using your laptop's wireless connection. Tablets and iPads should not be used. No time will be spent to trouble shoot laptop issues.

Refund policy: Attendance to the Hands-on Workshop Session/Part 2 is by paid admission only, and is specifically associated with this date and venue. Registration/payment for Hands-on Workshop /part 2 can not be transferred, traded, substituted or refunded. Once you have registered and paid for Part 2, NO refunds will be issued. Registrants for Part 2 that subsequently can not attend the paid event, for what ever reason, will not have the cost of the event refunded, traded, and or credited, your paid admission will simply be forfeited if you can not attend.
