If you love beautiful gardens, good food and great fun, treat yourself to a getaway with fellow Garden Club of Virginia members in majestic Orange County, Virginia.  

Our headquarters will be The Market at Grelen, a European style garden shop situated on a scenic 600-acre tree nursery. 

Field Day begins on Wednesday 1-5 p.m. with a tour of the very special gardens of Mount Sharon Farm, with English, French and Italian influences, graciously open to us by our hosts Mr. and Mrs. Charles Seilheimer. This is not to be missed!

On Thursday, May 23, check in at Grelen at 9:30 a.m. Take an educational trail tour to learn about special varieties of trees and shrubs, join a proper pruning techniques workshop, and learn how to create stunning container gardens for season-long interest.

After a break for lunch, take a short drive to Montpelier (a GCV Restoration Site) to visit the terraced gardens, as well as the lovely private grounds of nearby Gaston Hall, kindly opened by Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Brooks.

Horticulture Field Day is open to GCV members and one guest.
