2016-2017 National Undergraduate Student Electronic Media Competition 

  

The 54th Annual National Undergraduate Student Electronic Media Competition is open to members of the National Broadcasting Society and non-members.

 

You must fill out and submit the entry form for each entry as well as post each of your entries online. Printout a copy of your entry form for your records.  If you are paying by check, also print a copy of your entry form to mail with your entry fee.

 

Submit an entry registration form for each submission to the competition. 

 

The final deadline for submissions is December 2, 2016. Entry forms must be submitted and any check payments must be mailed with a postmark no later than December 2, 2016.  

 

The deadline for early submissions is November 17, 2016.  A discounted entry fee is available for early submissions.  Entry forms must be submitted and any check payments must be mailed with a postmark no later than November 17, 2016 to qualify for the discounted entry fee.

Entry into the NBS National Undergraduate Student Electronic Media Competition will require entrants to certify the following:

I certify I have read, understand and complied with all rules and procedures for the NBS National Undergraduate Student Electronic Media Competition.

I affirm I have authority to grant permission to NBS-AERho to use this entry, in whole or part, in promotions, broadcasts or any other program or electronic media produced for, or in conjunction with, NBS-AERho, its convention, the awards ceremony, or any other related societal activity.

I EXPRESSLY AFFIRM I POSSESS, OR HAVE BEEN GRANTED COPYRIGHT AUTHORIZATION FOR ALL MATERIALS USED HEREIN. PROOF OF SUCH COPYRIGHT AUTHORIZATION IS SUBMITTED WITH THIS ENTRY FORM. I UNDERSTAND THAT FAILURE TO PROVIDE WRITTEN AUTHORIZATION FOR COPYRIGHTED MATERIAL CONTAINED IN THIS PRODUCTION WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION. I ALSO EXPRESSLY AGREE TO INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS NBS-AERho FOR ALL COSTS, EXPENSES, LEGAL FEES, CIVIL OR CRIMINAL FINES RESULTING FROM ANY ACTION BY A THIRD PARTY ON THE BASIS OF COPYRIGHT VIOLATION OR PLAGIARISM.

Entry fees WILL NOT be refunded.  This includes disqualified entries, withdrawn entries, entries that win awards and entries that do not win awards.

I also understand that a thorough critique by judges is not the primary purpose of this competition.

 

Two or more entries?  Use your e-mail address for your first entry.  Then add a "#" and an entry number before your e-mail address for each additonal entry.   (Me@theU.edu,   #2Me@theU.edu,  #3Me@theU.edu, etc.)  You will quickly receive an automated confirmation for the first entry and a manual confirmation will be sent at a later date for remaining entries.
