During this interactive, practical and thought-provoking workshop, teachers will  explore and discuss the three core concepts of UDL and how those concepts manifest themselves in the classroom. The structure and meaning of the UDL Guidelines and Principles are explained using multiple representations. Teachers experience UDL in action during a participatory demonstration lesson. Videos and text of exemplary UDL instruction are shared and reviewed for specific content areas, allowing teachers to personalize their learning to their subject area. Extensive exemplars and UDL tools and resources are provided. Teachers have built-in time to apply their learning to lessons or unit plans.

The workshop is presented by the Arts Alliance of Northern NH and VSA NH’s Arts in Inclusive Learning program, provided under a contract with the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, in partnership with the NH Department of Education, the NH Arts Learning Network and the NH State Council on the Arts..

Cost: $50, with discounts for Arts Alliance members and teachers from Arts Alliance member schools. All are welcome; partial scholarships are available for those for whom the fee is a hardship. No refunds are available for this program - in the event that the presenter needs to cancel the event, your fee will be refunded.

Please bring your lunch and snacks.

Professional development credit is provided.
