Circulo de Hombres 24th Annual Retiro

In November of 1988 a group of Chicano/Latino hombres gathered for three days in Jolon, California in a Circulo de Amistad y Hermanidad. Through discussion, laughter, ceremony and reflection, a very enriching exchange of words, feelings and spiritual energy were exchanged. Their energy was focused on the issues men face that affect them, their familias, and community.

In the spirit of that first retiro and Circulo tradition we invite you to the 24th Annual Hombres Retiro. The details for the two retreats is as follows:

1st Retiro Weekend August 3rd -5th 2012: REGISTRATION CLOSED                   (arrive 4:00pm Aug. 3- depart 12:00pm Aug. 5)

2nd Retiro Weekend August 10th –12th  2012   REGISTRATION CLOSED             (arrive 4:00 pm Aug. 10- depart 12:00pm Aug.12)

As is the history and tradition at the Hombres Retiro, the focus of our attention will be to reinforce the positive strengths that hombres possess, to clarify the roles and responsibilities that we have in our respective circles, rebalance the harmful experiences we carry that can negatively affect our parejas, children and community, and celebrate the gifts we carry.

Circulo de Hombres

Registration is limited and the retreats are expected to be filled to capacity as is customary each year. Once filled, registration is closed.

Total registration fee is $170.

Option 1: Pay $50.00 per person (non-refundable deposit) at time of registration to hold a registration spot with a remaining balance of $120 required before participation.

Option 2: Pay in full with credit card/ATM or check.

The principle of first come first served is followed until the maximum number of registrants have been reached.

In the tradition of the Círculo and because we value our work in retiro, this will be an alcohol and drug-free gathering.  We hope to see you there to continue the work of being the hombres that make our familias and community proud.
