Keynote Speaker: Lorine Pendleton
Lorine Pendleton is an active angel investor who backs and advises women and minority-led companies.
Named by Marie Claire magazine as one of the “50 Most Connected Women in America,” Ms. Pendleton will tell her story as an angel investor and speak about how women can differentiate their businesses through technology and other advances to be best positioned to obtain financing for their businesses.
Her portfolio includes Cisse Trading, Traklight, Hire an Esquire, Nextwave Rising Tide Fund and Tastemakers Africa. She is an alumna of Pipeline Angels, an angel investing training program for women to increase diversity in the US angel investing community. Previous stints include working at numerous startups including SelectMinds, developer of web-based social network programs for corporations acquired by Oracle; and Community Connect, publisher of the leading ethnic social networking websites BlackPlanet, AsianAvenue, and MiGente, acquired by Interactive One.
