Students will learn acting scenes, dance production numbers, chorus ensemble pieces, and vocal solos of a selected Broadway show. The structure of each rehearsal day will begin with vocal and dance warm-ups. Following the warm-up, the students will break into small rehearsal groups. Each student will be given a specific role to act, dance, or sing. Each group will join together the last 30 minutes of the day to rehearse the show. A performance for family and friends will be presented on the final day of the program.
General Information:
- Academy day begins at 9:00 AM and ends at 3:00 PM.
- Arrival time: students should arrive 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. Academy T-shirts: Students will be given 2 t-shirts for the week and are asked to wear one everyday.
- Additional shirts may be purchased during the week. Academy Backpack will be distributed on the first day.
- Lunch will be available for purchase in our school cafeteria everyday.
SFP Summer Academy is offered to students between the ages of 10-14 years old.
