Feb 20, 2020 BDG Workshop - Safe and Healthy Edible Gardening

If you want to increase your gardening knowledge and skills, the Bellevue Demonstration Garden (BDG) Workshop series can help you. A broad range of topics which are based on scientific information emphasizing plants and methods that work in the Pacific Northwest will be discussed. These workshops are appropriate for both beginning and experienced gardeners. Current science and techniques are emphasized. Participants can expect to learn about new methods and plants as well as the tried and true. Topics will vary from vegetable to ornamental cultivation and may discuss blending both in your garden beds.

The February 20, 2021, workshop will be presented by Laura Matter who will speak about Safe and Healthy Edible Gardening. Laura is the Garden Hotline Manager at Seattle Tilth. She specializes in watershed health, pollinator gardening and integrated pest management education. For 14 years, Laura ran her own landscape maintenance business, and she currently provides landscape consultations, specializing in native plantings, wildlife habitat and edible gardens. She is the senior garden advisor of the Picardo Farm P-Patch where she has gardened for 20 years.
