Photo Tour and Workshop package
Once again we are venturing to New York City on our next photographer tour. With the very able assistance of our travel partners, NH TOURS, we have put together a complete day of photo learning along with a guided travel experience to NYC. Our tour package includes our photo class on the bus, a delicious lunch and visits to great locations around Manhattan. Plus we do the driving!
We are combining a terrific travel experience with an excellent photo learning opportunity.
The photo workshop content for this tour is STREET PHOTOGRAPHY, and there is no place better for this type of photo action than the Big Apple. The hustle and bustle of the city and the passing throngs of humanity are ideal for documentary style photography. We will teach you on bus; bring you to some ideal photo locations and of course be on hand to coach your photography throughout the day.
This tour is open to non-photo folks as well. Our tour is a complete travel experience on its own and you can come along just to enjoy the city.
HERE ARE THE HIGHLIGHTS OF OUR TOUR
Our day begins with a group lunch at Macelleria Restaurant in Manhattan, a quintessential Italian restaurant.
One block from Macelleria is the High Line, an elevated freight rail line transported into a public park on Manhattan’s West Side. This one mile long walk offers numerous photographic opportunities. http://www.thehighline.org/
After our walk on the High Line, the bus will pick up our group and transport us a short distance to the 9/11 Memorial where we’ll have time to reflect and take photographs. A tribute of remembrance and honor, the Memorial’s twin reflecting pools are each nearly an acre in size and feature the largest manmade waterfalls in North America. The pools sit within the footprints where the Twin Towers once stood. http://911memorial.org/
Our last stop of the day will be Southstreet Seaport, a bustling marketplace along the waterfront where you’ll have time for dinner on your own, shopping, and, of course, photography. http://www.southstreetseaport.com
