Lighting Salon: Pre-visualization as a Design Tool for Theatre

Lighting Designer Jason Lyons discusses the pros and cons of integrating pre-vis technology into his design process.

About our guest speaker:
Jason's dynamic lighting has been featured worldwide, stylistically ranging from the sensitive minutia of the darkest drama to the kinetic drive and excitement of rock & roll. Recent Theatre productions include the Broadway revival of On the Town, Bring It On, The Musical (Broadway & National Tour), Rock Of Ages (Broadway, National Tour, Australia, London & Vegas), The Asian Tour of Jay Chou's The Secret, and the hit dark comedy Hand to God. Arena productions include The So You Think You Can Dance 2011 National Tour. Jason has designed special events for such organizations as Joe Torre's Safe At Home Foundation (over the years featuring Mariah Carey, Bruce Springsteen, Jon Bon Jovi and Garth Brooks), Project ALS (featuring Jennifer Hudson) and Friends In Deed (featuring Elvis Costello). Corporate Clients have included Lifetime Television, AIG, United Brewers, Pfizer, Sony and The United Nations.
