Designer Salon: Clifton Taylor on lighting for dance 

How does lighting for dance differ from other forms of lighting design? On the first Monday of January, ETC NYC welcomes guest speaker Clifton Taylor to share his extensive knowledge on the subject.

Doors open at 6:30pm; talk starts at 7pm with a Q&A and reception to follow. Free and open to all.

About our guest presenter:

Clifton Taylor (designer) has created theatrical designs for Broadway as well as opera, theater and dance companies around the world. His designs for dance have been commissioned for the repertories of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Karole Armitage Gone! Dance, Dance Theater of Harlem, the Paul Taylor Company, Pam Tanowitz, Philadanco, The San Francisco Ballet, The Washington Ballet, and American Ballet Theater among many others in the US. International commissions include: Mikhailovsky Ballet, Russia; Sardono Dance Theater, Indonesia;  The Hamburg Elbe Philharmonie, Germany; Scottish National Ballet, UK; the Ballet Company of Rio de Janeiro, Brasil; Maggio Danza, Italy; Ballet de Lorraine, France, Hong Kong Ballet, The Ningbo Song and Dance Company, China as well as other major companies in Europe, Asia and South America. He currently has upcoming commissions in the US, Australia, Japan, the United Kingdom, Chile, Germany and Italy.
