Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division: Dealing with Grief 

Content: The purpose of this course is to provide training for addiction counselors and mental health providers on the topic of grief. Participants will examine grief, handling loss, common response and myths, and explore alternative coping strategies.

Instructor: Gigi N. Jones, MSCP, CSAC, has worked in the human service field for over 15 years. She has facilitated psychoeducation for individual and group counseling services with the focus on substance abuse and recovery.

Target Audience: Certified Substance Abuse Counselors (CSAC), CSAC applicants, those with other ADAD professional credentials, and anyone involved in the human services profession.
