Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division Training: Experiential Group Facilitation

Content: At the end of the training, facilitators will be able to use games to conduct an experiential group process using the process topics provided, along with the American Society of Addictions Medicine (ASAM) dimensions, and the Twelve Core Functions. Each game is designed to fit one or more of the six dimensions, as well as the Stages of Change model originally developed by James Prochaska and Carlo DiClemente. This is an interactive training. Please be prepared to participate.

Facilitator:
Anthony Mendez, CSAC has a number of years working with individuals, groups, and families. His primary population is working with adolescents both in school-base and community settings.

Target Audience: Certified Substance Abuse Counselors (CSAC), Certified Prevention Specialists (CPS), and applicants; those with other ADAD professional credentials; and anyone involved in the human services field.
