MAKERBOT MAKEATHON 2016
Together with educators, designers and 3D printing experts, we will shape the future of learning.
MakerBot is hosting Makeathons for the summer and we would love to see you there! We’re inviting all educators, designers, makers, and anyone experienced in 3D printing to collaborate with us. At each Makeathon, we’ll tackle challenges over the course of two days by iterating on ideas, developing STEAM content, and having fun along the way. To add to the excitement, we're also partnering with SOLIDWORKS, Ozobot and Sphero! Join us for the greater good of elevating 3D printing in the classroom!
WHO CAN ATTEND A MAKERBOT MAKEATHON?
If you have experience in 3D printing and are an educator, designer, maker, tinkerer, we want to collaborate with you. Anyone attending must be at least 18 years of age.
WHAT WILL I DO AT A MAKERBOT MAKEATHON?
- Collaborate with creative people
- Network with like-minded individuals and out-of-the-box thinkers
- Make lesson plans and activities
- Learn new skills
- Have access to powerful tools
- Try and experiment with new things
WHAT WILL I LEAVE WITH?
WHAT IS THE COST TO ATTEND A MAKERBOT MAKEATHON?
The cost of attendance is $50. All proceeds will go towards funding 3D printing in schools serving low-income students.
WILL THERE BE PRIZES?
What would a challenge be without a winner?! Prizes will include MakerBot 3D Printers, filament, swag, and many other goodies we can’t share just yet.
