Greene County Elder Abuse Awareness Walk 2017 

The Greene County Senior Center and the Ready Set Walk Walking Club hosts Greene County's 1st Annual Elder Abuse Awareness Day Walk on Thursday, June 15, 2017. Registration is at 10 am and the 1 mile walk begins at 11. Free hot dogs and ice cream will be served on the grounds following the walk. World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD) was launched on June 15, 2016 by the International Network.....
 

Waiver

By registering you agree that you have read the cautions related to physical symptoms and will abide by them. You will also abide by the Walking Safety Rules establised by Ready, Set, Walk for Seniors.

You agree that Greene County, the Greene County Council of Aging, and the Greene County Senior Center, and Ready, Set, Walk will not be held responsible for any accident, injury or death incurred, whether directly or indirectly resulting from participating in Ready, Set, Walk for Seniors including all events, either through the Center or as group sponsored activities away from the Senior Center through Ready, Set, Walk.

CAUTIONS:  Please stop your Walking Routine if you experience any of the following: Pressure, tension, or pain in your chest, shoulders, neck, jaw, or arms. Noticeable pain of any kind including leg or stomach cramps. Lightheaded or dizziness which includes feeling faint, or that you are losing your vision. Abnormal breathing (rapid or lack of air) Sudden unsteadiness, weakness, or numbness of the face, arms, legs, and body. Loss of speech or problems speaking or understanding speech. Unusual fatigue. Lowering of your heart rate with increased exercise demands. Fluttering in your chest (heart palpitations). If any of these symptoms occue and do not go away after you have stopped Walking, call your doctoer immediately!
